Dr. Lu is a dental specialist whose passion is helping people to get their mouth healthy and give them a beautiful smile in a comfortable fashion. Dr. Lu is proud to be a periodontist, which is a dental specialist who helps control gum disease, places dental implants and performs plastic periodontal surgery.

Dr. Lu obtained his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) professional degree from the National University of Cordoba, Argentina in 1998. He practiced as a general dentist several years before dedicating his career to the field of periodontics and dental implants.

Dr. Lu completed his Residency in Periodontics at University of Louisville (UL), School of Dentistry, where he obtained his Certificate in Periodontics and learned advanced techniques in non-surgical and surgical Periodontology, Periodontal Plastic Surgery, Microsurgery, Laser Periodontics and Implant Dentistry.

Dr. Lu also obtained a Master of Science (MSD) degree in Oral Biology from UL.

Dr. Lu conducted and participated in several research projects in the field of periodontics and implant dentistry. Through continuing education courses, he stays up-to-date on the most current concepts available in dentistry today.

He is a member of the American Academy of Periodontology and the Academy of Osseointegration.
